Marshalls discount clothing stores DO offer a credit card, but that’s not immediately apparent unless you know that Marshalls and TJ Maxx are part of the same company, and that the credit card for both chains is the .
There are two TJX credit cards, one a store-only card that you can use only at Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Sierra Trading Post, and HomeGoods stores, and the other a MasterCard that can be used at these stores as well as anywhere else MasterCard is accepted. If you apply, you will first be considered for the MasterCard. If your credit is not good enough to get accepted for the MasterCard, you will then be considered for the store-only card.
The TJX credit cards have some nice perks for Marshalls and TJ Maxx customers, including:
- 5 points per dollar charged to the card at Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Sierra Trading Post and Home Goods stores.
- 1 point per dollar on all other purchases with the MasterCard (assuming you’re approved for the MasterCard).
- 10% off your first in-store purchase with the card
For every 1000 points you earn, you get a $10 rewards certificate that can be used toward future purchases at Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Sierra Trading Post, or HomeGoods.

The TJX / Marshalls credit card is issued in partnership with Synchrony Bank (formerly known as GE Capital Retail Bank).
