Though Capital One purchased the vast majority of credit card accounts that previously were managed by HSBC, there are still several HSBC credit cards in existence for current HSBC customers to choose from. We offer a brief overview / review of these cards below:
First, you should know that you must be an HSBC customer with a personal HSBC bank account or be an HSBC Premier Client to get any of these cards; you can’t just apply for the credit card alone.
The 4 HSBC credit cards available to current HSBC bank account holders include:
- – A straight credit card with no rewards. It does, however, offer a 0% rate on both purchases and balance transfers for the first 18 months you have it. (4% balance transfer fee, though.) Plus, no transaction fees on purchases outside the U.S.
- is a basic points / cash back credit card that gives you 1 point per dollar charged to the card. Each point equals a penny in cash back (e.g., 10,000 points = $100) or in gift cards, merchandise, etc.
- The is for those with at least $10,000 in other HSBC accounts. You get 2 points per dollar on dining and certain entertainment purchases, 1 point per dollar on everything else.
- – This one is only for HSBC Premier Clients that have over $100,000 in HSBC accounts. It offers an 12.99% interest rate and a points program with travel and other rewards.
None of the cards above charge an annual fee.
