Regions Bank offers , including some with their Relationship Rewards program built in or as an option. Below we offer an overview of the cards available:
- The is the flagship consumer credit card. It offers an interest rate as low as 11.99%, though you could be approved at a rate as high as 18.99% as well. You can choose to have the card qualify for the Regions Relationship Rewards program, which gives you 1 point per dollar and can be used for gift cards, merchandise, etc. Note, however, that choosing the rewards program increases the card’s interest rate by a full percent (with a range from 12.99% to 19.99%), so forgo the rewards program if you think you’ll ever carry a balance. The card also offers a 0% rate on balances you transfer from other cards for 7 months, though you’ll pay a fee of 4% of the amount transferred. There is no annual fee.
- The offers very little more than the Platinum Card listed above; it is hard to understand the point of offering both cards. “Signature” benefits include purchase security, lost luggage reimbursement, and the Visa Signature Concierge, which may be helpful to extremely busy people. It also has the Relationship Rewards program, and there is no annual fee.
- The is sort of a beefed-up version of the regular Visa signature, but with an annual fee of $125. We’re not sure the extras are worth it. The first difference is that the Relationship Rewards program offers you 1.5 points per dollar instead of 1 point per dollar, which might be attractive if you really use your card a lot. Otherwise, the only upgrades from the standard Visa Signature are “price protection” (a refund of the difference in price if you find that an item you purchased is selling cheaper elsewhere) and “trip cancellation / interruption insurance,” which pays up to $5000 of money you’ve paid for a trip that gets canceled or cut short. Are these extras worth $125 per year? We say no, but you might feel differently, especially if you travel often.
- The is a fairly standard credit card designed for college students who are getting credit for the first time. It offers a low interest rate (for a student card) of 14.99% if you choose a card with no rewards, or a 15.99% interest rate if you want the Relationship Rewards program. No annual fee.
