Review: AOPA Credit Cards

aopa-credit-cardThe Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, in partnership with Bank of America, that let you support the AOPA in a small way with your purchases. Our overview / review of these cards is below:

  • The is the same card as Bank of America’s standard cash rewards Visa, but with the AOPA logo and graphics on the front. That’s not a bad thing, as the card offers 3% cash back on gas (auto, not airplane), 2% back on groceries, and 1% on everything else. There is no annual fee, and the AOPA gets some sort of contribution from Bank of America when you get the card, although no one is saying how much that contribution is.
  • The is a small business credit card with a standard points reward program — you get 1 point per dollar charged to the card, and the points can be used toward gift cards, travel, cash back, etc. No annual fee. There is nothing really special about this card; if you get it, you’re doing so to help support the AOPA more than anything else.
