Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, which includes Radisson hotels, Park Plaza, Park Inn, and Country Inns & Suites, in partnership with US Bank. Below we offer a brief overview and review of each card:
- The offers you 6 points per dollar on Carlson hotel purchases, and 3 points per dollar on all other card purchases. You’ll get 50,000 extras points after your first card purchase, plus another 10,000 if you spend $1500 or more with the card within 90 days. (Free hotel stays start at 10,000 points per night.) You’ll also get a 25,000-point bonus each year that you renew your card. The fee for the card is $50. Overall, it’s a pretty good deal if you are a regular customer of the Radisson and/or other Carlson hotels.
- The offers you 10 points per dollar on Carlson hotel purchases, and 5 points per dollar on all other purchases. It offers bigger signup and renewal bonuses, too. You get 50,000 bonus points when you use the card for the first time, plus you can also get an extra 35,000 points if you use the card for at least $2500 in purchases within the first 90 days of having it. Each year that you renew the card you will get a 40,000-point bonus. This one has a $75 annual fee. In our estimation, if you are a regular Radisson & Carlson Hotels customer, the slightly higher annual fee of this card (versus the standard Club Carlson card described above) is more than made up for by the higher point potential and bigger bonuses. A really nice deal for the core Carlson Hotel customer.
- The looks to be exactly the same as the consumer Premier Rewards Visa mentioned above, but has a slightly lower annual fee of $60, so if you qualify as a business customer, this should be your choice. It offers the same 10-point and 5-point per dollar rewards, the same potential for 85,000 bonus points in the first 90 days, and the same 40,000-point bonus upon card renewal.
