Southwest Airlines offers 3 different credit cards you can apply for that offer Rapid Rewards points — 2 consumer credit cards and 1 small business credit card.
A short profile / review of each card is below, but be sure to , because it is a bit confusing. (Click on any link below to access the online application for that card.)
Consumer Credit Cards:
- – The basic Southwest Airlines credit card offers two points per dollar on Southwest card purchases and on purchases at Rapid Rewards travel partners such as certain hotels and car rental agencies. You’ll earn 1 point per dollar on everything else, plus get 25,000 bonus points if you spend $1000 with the card in the first 3 months. You also get 3,000 points each year on your card anniversary. Annual fee is $69.
- – Basically the same as the Plus Card described above, except you get 6,000 bonus points on each card anniversary and you have the ability to earn 1500 “tier qualifying points” for every $10,000 in card purchases. Annual fee is $99.
- – As far as we can tell, this card is exactly the same as the Premier Card for consumers described above, except it is targeted to business customers. Annual fee is $99.
