  • The offers 3 points per dollar on Virgin America purchases, and 1 point per dollar on all other purchases. You’ll get 10,000 “bonus” Elevate points if you use the card for at least $1000 in purchases within the first 90 days. In addition, your first checked bag is free when you purchase your ticket with the card, you get 20% off in-flight food and entertainment (but not Internet access), and $150 off one companion ticket per year. This card has an annual fee of $49.

The card offers everything the standard Visa offers, but you instead get 15,000 Elevate bonus points if you put $1000 on the card in 90 days, as well as the opportunity to earn extra Gold & Silver status points based on card spending (5000 points for every $10,000 charged to the card per year, up to 15,000 points annually, and no flight change or cancellation fees (though money is not refunded but instead issued as a travel credit that must be used within the following 12 months.)
  • If you often fly internationally, you might prefer the . It offers 3 points per dollar on Virgin Atlantic purchases and 1.5 points per dollar on all other purchases. It also offers 20,000 Flying Club bonus miles after your first purchase with the card. You can also get bonus miles and bonus companion tickets each year based on the amount of spending you do with the card — up to 15,000 extra points and a companion ticket for half the points it would normally cost. This card has an annual fee of $90.
